Public Transportation

Well-connected to the rest of Ottawa, Orleans offers very easy access to the 417. It’s a less than 15-minute drive from Orleans to the city.

Several OC Transpo bus lines serve the area, and soon, the O-Train will extend to Orleans, providing even more convenience for commuters.

Petrie Island Park:

Petrie Island Park is part of a group of islands situated within the Ottawa River. Trim Road provides a direct route to the park from central Orleans. It offers a sandy beach, walking trails, and picnic areas and is known for its beautiful shoreline. It’s a great spot for bird-watching, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors. There is ample parking available.

Kinsella Park:

Located between two schools (Our Lady of Wisdom School and Dunning-Foubert Elementary School), Kinsella Park has ample green space and several play structures. There is space to play soccer, tennis, basketball and baseball. In the wintertime, it’s a sought-after sledding destination.

Gardenway Park:

A charming neighbourhood park in the Gardenway community of Orleans, this park offers a playground, green spaces for soccer or picnics, and a baseball diamond. Street parking is nearby or at Jeanne-Sauvé Public Elementary School, making it easily accessible.

Fallingbrook Park:

Fallingbrook Park is a well-loved destination in the neighbourhood with which it shares the same name. It’s an excellent place for active play and family outings, with two playgrounds, swings, a soccer Field, a baseball diamond, a basketball court, open fields, and a skating rink in winter. The walking and biking trails connect to beautiful Princess Louise Falls. Parking can be found nearby.

Queenswood Ridge Park:

Nestled in the Queenswood Heights neighbourhood, you’ll find this lovely large park with fields, a baseball diamond, a playground, a splash pad, a dog park, tobogganing hills and lots of green space. A small lot for parking is available.

Apollo Crater Park:

Dog-friendly Apollo Crater Park is a unique park in Orleans, featuring a big grassy field and a fun playground. It’s a favourite among children and families. The park offers ample parking spaces, ensuring easy access for all.

Cardinal Creek Community Park:

Cardinal Creek Community Park is a significant recreational space with sports fields, a playground, a splash pad and walking trails. It serves as a hub for community events and outdoor fun. Parking is available.

Cumberland Millennium Sports Park:
