Paul Royce
Sales Representative/Business Partner
Paul, an Ottawa native and 25-year industry veteran, knows every inch of our city. His residential real estate experience is second to none and he boasts an impressive sales record. What he enjoys most though is working with clients and serving as a resource, trusted friend and advisor. He loves what he does and it truly shows in all aspects of his work.
The two Pauls have known each other for years and at one time actually worked together—long before Paul Rushforth established his own firm. With the same customer-centric philosophy and desire to negotiate the very best deals, it’s no surprise they’re working together once again.
Regardless of your real estate goal, Paul can help. He represents buyers, sellers and investors all over Ottawa, from urban and suburban settings to rural, cottage and waterfront areas. His expertise extends beyond single-family homes and condominiums to include investment properties, primarily multi-unit residences.
Over time, Paul has built up a large network of business partners. He has relationships with key contacts like renovators, inspectors, mortgage brokers and lawyers, whom he calls upon to assist his clients whenever needed.
Paul’s successes can be traced back to his solid business background and consistent professional development. After earning his MBA, he worked as an investment advisor for BMO Nesbitt Burns. “I have a very good handle on the financial aspects of real estate,” remarks Paul, “not only from the mortgage and lending side but also individual finances as well”. Clients feel at ease knowing Paul is a numbers guy.
Furthermore, he is an International Coaching Federation (ICF) certified executive coach, specializing in business communications. This designation is tough to achieve and requires 100s of hours of coaching experience. He’s also a Black Swan-trained negotiator. (Look it up, it’s fascinating!)
Experience and training aside, Paul is focused on building relationships. He has found that “people might seem different, with different goals and aspirations, but at the core, we actually share so much in common”. Keeping this as his North star, he really takes the time to get to know those he works with.
Family Life and Community Involvement
At home, Paul and his wife are busy with two active kids. Together with awesome neighbours, they plan fun swim meets, barn dances and fishing derbies for the entire community. During the summer, his family enjoys boating and they hit the slopes to ski and snowboard each winter.
Living along the Ottawa River, Paul and his family spent tireless hours sandbagging and helping fellow neighbours and other close communities that were devastated by the floodwaters of 2017 and 2019. Paul also personally gives back by volunteering with the Kanata North Business Association, serving yearly as a speaker coach for the organization’s annual TEDx event.
