About Kanata

Kanata real estate is comprised of several smaller communities, with several residential class and condo class properties.

Kanata’s strong technology sector and close proximity to the Department of National Defence have created an unwavering interest in Kanata. Coupled with its family appeal, newer developments, and many amenities, Kanata has what the majority of buyers look for when purchasing a home. Kanata has a wonderful mix of both worlds, with several rural communities as well as high-tech companies that have been set up in the Kanata North business park. Kanata’s neighbourhoods include Beaverbrook, Glen Cairn, Bridlewood, Katimavik, Morgan’s Grant, and Kanata Lakes.

A mix of old and new, the communities in Kanata each have their own features.

Beaverbrook offers a pristine location for recreational amenities, schools, and shopping opportunities. Glen Cairn used to be a very small village and is a great place to raise a family; with its public pool, library, and the Jack Charron arena all nearby. Bridlewood sits cozily next to the greenbelt, what used to be fields and farms is now a nice development area with newer, affordable housing next to the hiking trails the greenbelt offers. Katimavik, meaning “Gathering Place” is a safe neighbourhood to raise children, and is home to the Canadian tire centre where the Ottawa Senators play hockey. Morgan’s Grant is located in the north end with the high tech companies and top-quality golf course as a favourite meeting place, this newer subdivision has everything nearby! Kanata Lakes has two provincially protected beaver pond wetlands, many parks and golf courses, as well as the Centrum Shopping area.

Attend hockey games at the Ottawa senators Canadian tire centre, enjoy the country club and golf courses, one of the many parks and, in the winter, a good toboggan hill or skating rink is always nearby. Wherever you find yourself in Kanata, you’re sure to have a good community just outside of Ottawa with the best of both worlds.

How a Paul Rushforth Agent Can Help You Succeed in Kanata Real Estate

The secret to your success in becoming a part of the Kanata neighbourhood is to hire a professional realtor.

When you work with Paul Rushforth, our agents come armed with the following tools.

1. Exceptionally Thorough Market Research

Our agents do tons of research when you become their client. They find out everything about you and what you want in a home, and then they spend hours researching available listings, making sure to get as much as they can on your wishlist.

2. Experience in Kanata and Beyond

Agents at Paul Rushforth have years of experience under their belts, and use that to sell more residential homes than anyone else.

This is especially valuable in Ottawa’s current market. In neighbourhoods as popular as Kanata, Ontario, sometimes several buyers will want the same property. Multiple offer situations are complex and require in-depth knowledge and attention to detail. If you find yourself in this situation, you want someone on your side who knows how to present your offer and negotiate price.

Tip: Multiple offer situations are tricky for sellers, too. We recommend hiring a real estate agent when you sell your home, especially if you suspect it’s going to be popular! They’ll handle everything from pricing to marketing to fielding multiple offers, should that situation arise.

3. An Entire Team at Your Disposal

When you work with Paul Rushforth Real Estate, you’re not just paired with one overworked agent doing everything. You have an agent dedicated to getting you a home, and an entire team of real estate experts, all doing different jobs to make sure that we give you the best service and the best results.

The best part? There’s no extra cost, but you get more support than with any other company. Our shared goal is making your real estate dreams come true.
