Findlay Creek is a newly established neighbourhood in Ottawa, perfect for families young and old looking for a safe and friendly community. Findlay Creek identifies as a suburban neighbourhood located in the Gloucester-South Nepean Ward between the intersection of Leitrim Road and Bank Street. According to the 2016 Canadian Census, Findlay Creek has a population of 8,865 residents, yet that number has quickly grown over the past several years.
Everything is close by in Findlay Creek. Whether by foot, bike, car or bus, you won’t be wasting too much time on the road. For those looking to travel downtown, it’ll take about 20 minutes by vehicle (without traffic) and 1 hour 30 minutes by bus.

When it comes to travelling around Findlay Creek, there’s only one OC Transpo bus dedicated to the community, the 144. Are you someone who enjoys biking? Because if taking the bus isn’t your thing, biking is a natural alternative. Everything is within walking and biking distance. It takes about 10 minutes to bike from Bank St. to Albion Rd, which is from one side of this community to the other.
Are you looking to travel outside of Findlay Creek? South Keys and Leitrim have park-and-rides that’ll give you access to Downtown Ottawa and other communities within Ottawa.

The Findlay Creek Community Association is a volunteer organization that works to improve the Findlay Creek community. Established in 2005, this not-for-profit organization works closely with city council members to refine safety, development, transportation, municipal by-laws and other community affairs.
Also, there are lots of opportunities for kids and adults to participate in sports and activities. Close to Findlay Creek, there are a few golf courses for those looking to improve their game. For those looking to get some ice time, Fred G. Barrett Arena is the place for hockey and public skating.
Just outside of Findlay Creek is the Sawmill Creek Pool and Community Centre, where kids can let out energy while parents relax. The swimming area has a six-lane pool, deep end, diving boards, 6-foot slide and sauna. They offer swimming lessons and aqua-fitness classes.
