Avonmore Berry Farm

Avonmore Berry Farm is a perfect day out for you and your family. A 55-minute drive from Ottawa, there is a kid’s area your children can play in and weekend wagon rides. Avonmore Berry Farm is open daily from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Mountain Orchards

Are you looking to pick a specific kind of apple? Mountain Orchards offers Eden, Cortland, and Empire apples that you can pluck right off the tree. While you’re here, why not enjoy their forest trails, picnic area, wagon rides, straw jump, corn mazes, playground, and more. Can’t wait to make your own baked goods? You can purchase pies, butter tarts, and more from their bakery. Mountain Orchards is located 1 hour from Ottawa and is open Monday to Friday from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM. On weekends they’re open 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Log Cabin Orchard

20 minutes south of Ottawa, you will find Log Cabin Orchard. Due to the very late May frosts in the Ottawa area, Log Cabin Orchard is offering a different kind of apple picking experience this year. If you are looking to bake your apples, Log Cabin Orchard has windfall pick-your-own apples at 50% the regular rate. However, if you are looking for ready to eat apples such as Honeycrisp, McIntosh, Cortland, and Lobo, these will be available pre-picked in bushels for you. Visit the farm animals, enjoy a cup of cider around the bonfire and delicious churros and candy apples in the Cantina. Log Cabin Orchard is open daily from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM and accepts cash only.

Cannamore Orchard

Similar to Log Cabin Orchard, Cannamore Orchard was also affected by the late May frost. While pick-your-own apples are not traditionally available at the orchard this season, you may still pick apples off the ground at a discounted rate of 50% off. Fresh apples are still available in store and you are able to pick your own pumpkins. If you are looking for a spooky day out, Cannamore Orchard is hosting Acres of Terror. Acres of Terror includes four main attractions: the Spooky Wagon Ride, House of Terror, Fog Maze, and Spooky Village. Your ticket to Acres of Terror includes a visit to all attractions. Tickets must be booked in advance and for a specific time slot. Visit Cannamore Orchard, open daily from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
