Jamie Urie
Selling Partner/Sales Representative
Exceeding expectations energizes Jamie. Nothing makes him happier than a happy client, so he works hard to ensure every transaction is as stress-free as possible.
With his drive and desire to help others, it’s clear Jamie was destined to become a real estate agent. As soon as he earned his license, Paul Rushforth was pleased to welcome him to the team.
Born and raised in Ottawa, Jamie has a strong connection to our community and knows the market inside out. He is no stranger to hard work, and based on some pretty amazing life experiences, has a wealth of knowledge to share.
Case in point, he studied at Cordon Bleu and is a certified Red Seal Chef! He developed his culinary and business expertise working on Parliament Hill and went on to own and operate an Italian eatery. The open-concept restaurant was a labour of love featuring traditional dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. Jamie then moved into operations management for grocery retail chains, where he honed his business skills for several years.
If you get to talking with him, you’ll soon discover he is also a successful musician. Jamie played drums professionally and, although he is no longer playing with a band, he is still passionate about it and practices daily.
All of these experiences have shaped Jamie into the client-focused agent he is. “It’s all about improving the customer experience,” he says. Working at Paul Rushforth, he knows he never has to compromise and can be laser-focused on meeting the needs of his clients. “I’ve got this great, highly successful team behind me, so my clients get the very best care.”
There’s another secret to his success—he listens. It allows him to identify unique wants, needs and challenges quickly. Then, armed with this information, he uses his knowledge and deep Ottawa network to hit the ground running and help buyers and sellers achieve their goals faster
Outside the Office
When he’s not playing the drums, Jamie spends the rest of his free time with his family. He takes his two active boys on hikes, plays golf whenever he can, and hits the slopes to ski each winter.
Giving back
Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) is near and dear to Jamie’s heart. He spent a lot of time there because both of his boys had a bit of a rough start. As a result, he is a huge supporter of the hospital and spends time raising money to benefit CHEO each year.
