On Saturday December 2nd at 6PM, Paul Rushforth Real Estate will be at not one, but TWO Santa Claus parades in the Ottawa area. Our own Angie White shared the details for each parade, and we honestly can’t decide which one we want to attend!
We’ll Have Seating and Treats at Santa’s Parade of Lights in Orleans
If you’re planning on attending the Orleans parade, you could get a front row seat at our office.
“We’ve rented bleachers and we’re putting them in the parking lot,” Angie says. “We’ve done it for about 5 years.”
The bleachers will take up approximately the whole parking lot. “They’re huge!” Angie laughs. “They’ll easily fit about 100 people.” These 100 people will have a great view of the parade as it travels down St. Joeseph’s Boulevard.
After the parade, the office will be opened up to continue the holiday feeling. “It’s a place for people to warm up, get a hot chocolate and a treat, or use the bathroom,” Angie explains.
Attendance for this event is expected to be big. “One year it was really cold, so not a lot of people came out. This year it’s looking like it going to be beautiful,” Angie says.

Check Out Our Sweetest Property for Sale in the Stittsville Parade of Lights
There’s no wicked witch in this house made of gingerbread and candy – just some merry real estate agents and their families!
“We do a different community parade every year, and this year we’re doing the Stittsville parade,” Angie explains.
The float itself is a masterpiece of holiday cheer. “It’s an 18-foot flatbed with a gingerbread house for sale,” Angie says. “It’s covered in hundred of lights and kids dancing to festive music dressed as Olaf.”
Those participants who aren’t on the float get decked out in their holiday best and hand out candy canes to spectators. “This event is fun for us,” Angie remarks.

Celebrating Christmas with the Community
For us, it’s not just about dressing up and experiencing some Christmas fun. It’s about doing it with our community.
“It’s about having fun with the kids, and being a part of the community,” Angie explains. “We’re not just a real estate company. Whether it’s through our charity work, or events like the parades, we always want to be involved.”
Both Parades Are at 6PM on December 2
Both of the Santa Claus Parades begin at 6PM on Saturday, December 2. No matter which one you attend, we guarantee you’ll have a holly jolly time.
