Raj Cheema
Selling Partner/Sales Representative
Raj’s (lucrative) hobby became her career. After personally purchasing many investment properties in Ottawa, she started helping friends and family buy and sell real estate. She did all her own research, including visits with builders—and even took a course on staging. Following what became a true passion, she became professionally licensed to do what she loved.
When selling her own home, Raj connected with an agent at Paul Rushforth. His professionalism, preparedness and knowledge of the market convinced her to join the best real estate team in Ottawa.
Raj is a gifted communicator and uses this skill daily in real estate negotiations. She also cares deeply for others and goes above and beyond to help in any way she can. She developed these strengths while working in the healthcare field.
Able to translate the patient-centric care she provided as a Clinical Coordinator, she forms a special bond with her clients and is perfectly at ease guiding them through what can be a stressful situation. “I’ve been in their shoes, and I can relate to them,” Raj explains. “Whether my clients are first-time homebuyers or investors, I can help because I’ve been in that situation myself.”
Something else Raj is especially mindful of is sticking to an established budget. She prides herself on finding the right property or buyer to match her client’s requirements.
Naturally driven, Raj also runs her own business on the side. She’s an authorized Training Partner for the Canadian Red Cross, and her company offers First Aid, CPR and other classes. Further, she is certified to coach others to become trainers as well.
Giving Back
Throughout the year, Raj gives back by volunteering as a Red Cross Blood Drive Supervisor. She also opens the doors of her First Aid business to new families, delivering newborn CPR and choking courses free of charge.
Each holiday, her friends and family band together in order to make an enormous impact on one chosen organization. Recently they provided over 100 packages of hats, scarves, socks, and jackets to the Salvation Army. Another year they fed an entire women’s shelter!
Connected to the Community
These acts keep Raj firmly rooted in the communities she loves.
This includes being an active member of the local Sikh community, which has broadened her already large network of connections throughout Ottawa.
