A hockey player at heart, Paul still enjoys the thrill of scoring a goal, today’s goal however, isn’t on the ice, it’s in the Ottawa Real Estate Market helping families buy and sell real estate & accumulate wealth. Following a 10-year professional hockey career in North America and Europe as both a player and assistant coach, Paul decided to bring his enthusiasm, dedication and organizational skills to his clients.

In 2004, Paul traded his hockey jersey for a suit and tie and has since built a real estate empire that is nothing short of Stanley Cup material. Since 2007, The Paul Rushforth Team has ranked as the #1 Residential Real Estate Team in Ottawa and finished 2009 as #1  Keller Williams Team Worldwide.  Early in 2011, Paul decided to take his business to a new level and opened his own real estate company, Paul Rushforth Real Estate, Inc with no end in sight.

Paul has built his team from the ground up in such a short amount of time, starting as a single agent to today being Broker/Owner of Paul Rushforth Real Estate with 25 people working for him and selling over 450 homes a year.  Paul and his team pride themselves on treating every client as if they were their only client.  They are dedicated, service oriented & professional.

Building a reputable & successful real estate team has allowed Paul to shift his focus from working in his business to working on his business.  He separates himself from the competition with aggressive marketing and advertising strategies, which allow his team to sell homes fast and for more money.

In 2008 and 2009, Paul was honored as a finalist for the Orleans Chamber of Commerce Professional of the Year as well as in 2009 being a finalist for the Ottawa Chamber of Commerce Professional of the Year and Business of the Year. In 2009 he received the distinction of one of the Top 40 Under 40 Business Professionals in Ottawa. The Top 40 Under 40 recognizes business professionals in Ottawa that “balance bottom line results with a desire to participate in charitable and community events”.  Being a recipient of both awards was the recognition of achieving a momentous goal for Paul, both are nominations and awards that Paul does not take lightly and is extremely proud of. He understands the value of hard work and is proud and happy to be able to provide the services that he and his team offer their friends, family and trusted clients. In 2011, Paul was humbled to be the recipient of the Orleans Chamber of Commerce Business Person of the Year award and New Business of the Year. Both awards have immense meaning to Paul and his team as the transition year proved to be one of great success and dedication. 

Paul and his team pride themselves on their active community presence participating in and supporting such events as the CHEO BBQ, helping to raise in excess of 45 thousand dollars, The Weekend to End Breast Cancer, Tools for School, the United Way Food Drive and Community Action Days, Snowsuit Fund, Orleans Families at Christmas & Thanksgiving as well as Children At Risk, a local charity supporting children and families with autism.  There are not many times that he and his team don’t pull together to do what they can to support the local community on any level needed.

As the only real estate agent in the city with his own radio show , Open House the Real Estate & Mortgage Show as well as network and Gemini Award nominated TV show into it's second season called “All For Nothing”, Paul has officially taken his knowledge of the real estate market and applied it at a revolutionary level in order to help wide reaching audiences and people who he normally would not be able to personally help.

Paul and his team finished off 2009 as the #1 Team in the City of Ottawa as well as the #1 Keller Williams Team Worldwide. In 2011, Paul opened his own real estate brokerage, Paul Rushforth Real Estate, Inc, they are the #1 Residential Resale Team in Ottawa*, an accomplishment they are extremely proud of as it represents years of hard work and dedication from a group of high achieving members.

It would be an understatement to say that Paul took the real estate market by storm. Since 2004, Paul and his team have helped over 1500 families reach their real estate dreams. He continues to train and consult agents throughout the industry and is considered one of the most forward thinking pioneers in the industry, blazing trails for those around him.
